Everyone of Everything

Everyone of Everything

“And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. Then His fame went throughout all Syria, and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them. Great multitudes followed Him—from Galilee (non-religious), and from Decapolis (Greek), Jerusalem, Judea (religious Jews), and beyond the Jordan (Arabic).” Matthew 4:23-25

  1. Jesus healed Jews than Gentiles.

  2. He healed every one of everything.

  3. Sovereignty has returned to the forefront today.

“When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick,  that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:

“He Himself took our infirmities
And bore our sicknesses.”
Matthew 8:16-17

  1. Isaiah 53 is for everyone - every sin, and sickness.

  2. Isaiah spoke of the cross - Jesus bearing all of our sins and sicknesses.

  3. If healing is in the atonement, it is for everyone.

  4. If healing is in the atonement it includes all diseases.

    a. Psalm 103:3

    b. Exodus 12:9

    c. Matthew 12:15

    d. Luke 4:40

    e. Luke 6:19

    f. Acts 28:9

“Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.” Matthew 9:35

  1. Jesus healed in big cities and little towns.

  2. Jesus’ ministry began by healing all sickness and disease.

  3. It is concluded that He also healed all of the people who came to Him.

Jesus Healed Everyone of Everything ( Matthew 8-9)

  1. 8:1-4 - The Leper (man, Jewish, incurable, poor).

  2. 8:5-13 - The Centurion’s servant (boy, Gentile, paralyzed, wealthy).

  3. 8:14-15 - Peter’s mother-in-law (woman, Jew, fever, recently sick, housewife).

  4. 8:28-32 - Two demon-possessed men (more than one at a time, demon-possessed).

  5. 9:1-9 - A paralyzed man rises off of his cot.

  6. 9:20-22 - The woman with the issue of blood (woman, female issues, 12 years sick, visited doctors).

  7. 9:23-25 - Jairus’ daughter (little girl, dead).

  8. 9:27-30 - Two blind men (more than one at a time, diseased in their eyes).

  9. 9:32-33 - Dumb man (speech restored, demon cast out).

Review: Jesus healed old men, young boys, old women, young girls, Jews, Gentiles, incurable lepers, paralytic, down to fevers, poor, rich, living, dead, military men, housewives, those who had been doctors, those who had not, the sick, demon-possessed delivered, one at a time, more than one at a time, and multitudes at one time.

  • Not everyone ate right.

  • How did the crowds know who to bring and not to bring if healing is not for all?

You would have thought Jesus would have told the people not to bring certain ones or that healing was not for them.

  • The lever (8:1) asked if it was God’s will for him to be healed so he must have been questioning. Jesus told him, “it IS my will.”

  • If healing were for some and not for all, you would have to have revelation outside of the word of God to know if healing was for you.

  • Faith must be assured that God WILL, not that He CAN.
