For he who would love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit

3. If we learn to walk in joy, our body has the potential and power to heal itself of many diseases

Example:  Reader's Digest shared a true story about a man who was lying in a hospital dying of cancer.  He asked his wife to rent 3 Stooges movies.  The man, not knowing Jesus or the power of the Holy Spirit but applying a scriptural principle, was healed of cancer.

Proverbs 17:22:  A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:  but a broken spirit dries the bones.

4. When we choose joy in our lives we actually bring health to our bodies

Proverbs 15:13:  A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance:  but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

Proverbs 18:14:  The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity;  but a wounded spirit who can bear?

5. When infirmities come into the body, the attitude that we choose actually weighs more on health than the diet and exercise that we attribute to good health

6. Our attitude has everything to do with long life on the earth

Nehemiah 8:10:  Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared:  for this day is holy unto our Lord:  neither be ye sorry;  for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest;  and this is the refreshing:  yet they would not hear.

Jude 20:  But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.
